The 4-frame buffer window requires you to be more precise in your evaluation of how much shield stun you're in, so you don't accidentally JC usmash. Yeah, when your shield is being hit, you're definitely correct. Unfortunately I don't use X so I'm unfamiliar with how it feels to do quick C-stick inputs, but you should definitely join the Falcon Discord, and maybe they can give a better alternative there. I think this is by far the best method, but you would have to get used to jumping with Y at least for rising uairs, but maybe for all of your aerials (not sure if there'd be issues switching back and forth). The one Setchi recommends is hitting Y then using the base of your thumb to hit the C-stick. Also stick methods can make switching controllers a real pain because they require subtle muscle memory changes. I wouldn't recommend this for dashes because then you're doing complex stick movements like dash right, tap jump up, repress the stick to right to get full drift SH. I haven't invested time into learning it myself, but it's actually quite easy to tap up on the control stick then rotate the stick 90 degrees before jumpsquat ends to get a max drift SH OoS, and this leaves your right hand completely free to C-stick. One method that I think is great for out of shield uairs is tap jump. lol Personally, I jump with Y and tilt up on control stick+A for SH uairs and sometimes tap jump+C-stick for full hop aerials, but I think that only works for me because I've been doing it for so long and other methods are probably better. It's often the only good option for throw followups. It's very important so you definitely have to be able to do it consistently.
